My building style is a blend of the West Coast ethos and the East Coast wethos. My apprenticeship in the early 1990s with TJ Thompson steeped me in the disciplined beauty of Martin OMs from 1929-1932, and my long association with Ervin Somogyi, at whose shop I am the production manager, keeps me open to the fullness of Pacific Rim, boundary pushing luthiery.

15 years as a repairman and a gigging musician mean that I am keenly focused on great sound and killer set-ups. I am now bringing my affinities for hide glue, bar frets, decades old Adirondack spruce, and organic shapes to the building of Irish bouzoukis.
